Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When does my child move up a class?

A: The classes are age-based, however as teachers, if we feel that your child needs to be challenged more then we will advise accordingly.  Sometimes there is a big jump between classes and we have to make sure the children are ready for that jump.

Q: How do I pay for classes?

A: Due to Covid 19, we have decided to opt for non cash payments.  We will have several payment options, including online payments and bank transfers. Cash will still be taken in an envelope.

Q: Do classes run during the summer?

A: No, but we do have awesome SOLD OUT “Niche” summer camps each year.

Q: How will my child develop?

A: Each student will progress at a different speed and some make better advances in one style more than another, it depends on each individual child.

Q: What if my child doesn’t want to attend anymore?

A: You will need to notify us by email before term starts.

Q: How old does my child have to be to start with you?

A: We enrol children from 3 years upwards, provided they are potty trained and know when they need to go to the bathroom.

Q: Does my child need ballet shoes for their first class?

A: Not at all, we ask that they wear black pumps to their first term of classes. You can buy ballet shoes from the school in their second term.

Q: Are exams compulsory?

A: No, but we highly recommend taking exams. Exams take place annually with Leinster School of Music and Drama and Irish Board of Speech and Drama options.
